Our Job Club has been hugely successful in assisting people with disabilities, school leavers and parents returning to workforce.
CAP Job Club provides proven, effective assistance to people out of work, in three complementary ways – Course, Coaching & Community
Course – training (8 x sessions) to equip you to understand the labour market, find paths to access your preferred area of work and most importantly how to connect with the needs of employers so they can put you in the best possible light
(topics include: Overcoming barriers to employment, preparing an effective resume, Understanding the various recruitment methods employers use, making a great first impression, how to turn interviews from an interrogation to a conversation, how to overcome disappointment and stay motivated)
Much of the learning comes from interactive exercises as well as the valuable shared experiences of fellow participants
Coaching – Our Job Club coaches will also meet with you 1:1 to look at your job aspirations, help tailor your resume & applications to suit each position sought, explore options to further develop relevant skills & experience to improve your prospects, practice for upcoming interviews. maintain motivation & much more
Community – Support between participants in a safe environment allows people to look out for job opportunities for one another, develop confidence, communication & social skills from their group interactions, develop friendships and remove any sense of isolation
Access to our Job Club is for anyone unemployed or underemployed.
All ages & backgrounds are welcome to participate,
The service is free of charge including all materials provided.
